Bob Hall Announces State Senate Bid to Unseat Long-time Incumbent
As a citizen, I am deeply concerned with the direction our current
political leaders are taking us. We must reign in unsustainable government spending, stop the expansion of
government intrusion in our private lives, and eliminate the bureaucratic burdens that thwart economic
My concern for the future is not something that just happened after the election of Obama. It began during the
Clinton administration, grew during the Bush years, and escalated when Obama came into office and liberals took
control of Washington and Austin. However, if you had told me then that I would be making speeches, leading Tea
Party meetings, and running for the Texas Senate, I wouldn’t have believed it. I was looking forward to
retirement, but God had other plans.
Our country and our state are in grave danger. If elected, I will work to take meaningful action to change the
malignant legacy we are leaving to our children and grandchildren. As your Texas State Senator, I will look
for innovative solutions, rather than view new legislation and more government spending as the only solutions to
problems. I will uphold the United States and Texas Constitutions, while being guided by commonsense and
I graduated from The Citadel with an electrical engineering degree, earned a commission and then served as
an officer in the US Air Force. While raising a family, I started a small consulting business. By solving
problems with commonsense solutions, applying ethical business practices, and with a vision for creativity, my
business became one of the most successful in the industry. I will take these practices with me to Austin.
I have never held public office. My only experience with government employment was to serve my country in the
military. Now, I am ready to serve it again as your Texas State Senator. I will never be a career politician,
but I want to join the new generation of legislators now emerging from the Tea Party movement, who are committed to
returning government to its proper role of protecting and serving the people, as envisioned by the founding

I believe in:
Limited government: Following the US Constitution.
Fiscal Responsibility: Don’t spend money we don’t have.
Personal Responsibility: Elect officials who say what they mean and mean what they say.
Rule of Law: The Constitution is the supreme law of the land and should be applied equally to all
National Sovereignty: The United States is answerable only to God and not to any foreign country
or organization like the United Nations.
Free Markets: Economic prosperity is driven by competition in the private sector, with the least
possible government interference.
Sanctity of Life: God is the provider of all life. It begins at conception and ends in His
Texas does not have a revenue problem. Texas has a spending
Our Texas government has grown too big and spends too much of the
taxpayers' money. The incumbent legislators we trusted in the past have put us on a course that is
unsustainable. Our state government regulates too much, spends too much on things that are not within the
core constitutional functions of state government, doles out favors to special interests, has too much debt,
and relies too much on federal dollars. This weakens our great state.
Conservatives must work together to reclaim our state for future generations. This election is about our children
and grandchildren. We must change the legacy we are leaving them, and the only way that will happen is by replacing
business-as-usual incumbents with genuine conservatives who will place the welfare of future generations of Texans
above their ambition. To learn more about who I am, my values and the legislation that I feel is needed to rein-in
government, restore liberties lost and promote economic growth please visit the sections on this web
